La presbytie est un trouble de la vision li\u00e9 \u00e0 une diminution de l’accommodation du fait d’une r\u00e9duction de la souplesse du cristallin. Le cristallin est une lentille situ\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de l\u2019\u0153il qui permet, chez le sujet jeune, de focaliser sans effort,de la vision de loin \u00e0 la vision de pr\u00e8s. I am Catherine Albou-Ganem<\/a> and I am an ophthalmic surgeon brought up in a family of ophthalmologists. I had a passion for \u2018the eye\u2019 and \u2018the vision\u2019 from my childhood. This was the subject of my first presentation at school.<\/p>\n

Today, I share my refractive surgery activity between the hospital and the private sector.<\/p>\n

I am proud to have contributed to the development of new laser refractive surgery techniques that can correct vision defects with accurate, effective and safe results when respecting the indications.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
