Depending on your age, there are different causes of dry eye. Therefore, we may treat it differently. We mainly base dry eye treatment on lubricating eye drops that we can combine according to their preferred action. There are also lifestyle changes you can make that will help.
We can also perform local anti-inflammatory treatment. Depending on the case, we may offer corticosteroid eye drops, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics with anti-inflammatory action, calcineurin inhibitors or a newborn glycyrrhizin.

ICL implant is a refractive surgery where a surgeon inserts a phakic implant that targets strong ametropes (people with severe refractive errors). PresbyLASIK is a generic term that includes all photoablation (laser) strategies that aim to help a patient recover near vision (due to age-related near vision loss) without too much loss of far vision. The principle of the PresbyLASIK is to induce a pseudo-accommodation by hyperprolate or multifocal profiles that generate Spherical Aberrations (AS), these AS themselves induce a depth of field. PresbyLASIK treats:

I am Catherine Albou-Ganem and I am an ophthalmic surgeon brought up in a family of ophthalmologists. I had a passion for ‘the eye’ and ‘the vision’ from my childhood. This was the subject of my first presentation at school.
Today, I share my refractive surgery activity between the hospital and the private sector.
I am proud to have contributed to the development of new laser refractive surgery techniques that can correct vision defects with accurate, effective and safe results when respecting the indications.
